Who Is John C. Drew, Ph.D.?

Dr. John C. Drew, is a former Marxist who knew the young Barack Obama - and many of his closest friends - at Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA in the early 1980s. He is among a handful of people in the world who not only knew the young Obama but are willing to go on the record about what they knew of his ideology.

Dr. Drew is a contributing author at American Thinker. Starting in 2010, his insights into the philosophy of young Barack Obama have appeared in Michael Savage’s Trickle Up Poverty, Paul Kengor’s Dupes, James R. Keena’s We’ve Been Had, Stanley Kurtz’s Radical-In-Chief and Jack Cashill’s Deconstructing Obama.

John C. Drew, Ph.D. is an award-winning political scientist and a blogger at David Horowitz’s Front Page Magazine.

Dr. Drew earned his Ph.D. from Cornell and has taught political science and economics at Williams College. He won the William Anderson Award from the American Political Science Association in 1989 for his work on child labor and child welfare programs. Today, Dr. Drew makes his living as an author, trainer, and consultant in the field of non-profit grant writing, fund raising and program evaluation. To book Dr. Drew for your event, please visit
